To Convert Your Pool from Chlorine or Bromine to Soft Swim®:
  1. Be sure filter has been operating a minimum of 12 hours continuously & will be in continuous operation during the conversion period
  2. Make sure your Chlorine or Bromine level is 1.0 ppm or lower
  3. Neutralize left over Chlorine or Bromine using 1 (one) bottle of Soft Swim® C per 10,000 gallons.
  4. If Chlorine or Bromine is over 1.0 ppm, add Chem Out® Chlorine Neutralizer
  5. Retest Chlorine or Bromine.  Level should be 0.0 ppm before continuing
  6. If heavy metals are present (iron, copper or manganese) add 1 bottle of Soft Swim® Stain & Scale Control to neutralize metals
  7. Add 1 Bottle of Soft Swim® C Clarifier per 10,000 gallons of water (or any part of 10,000 gallons)  to oxidize any unfilterables & to set a reserve of "C" in the water
  8. Add 8 oz. Soft Swim® A Algicide per 8,000 gallons
  9. Allow filter system to run overnight
  10. Next day, add 1 bottle of Soft Swim® B Bactericide per 10,000 gallons of water
  11. Adjust pH, Total Alkalinity & Calcium Hardness to proper levels
  12. After 1 week of operation, chemically clean filter with Soft Swim® Filter Cleaner
Before, during and after the conversion process, bring in a one quart sample of the pool water for a complete BioGuard® Testing and Analysis.

To Make Your Soft Swim® Experience Fantastic, add Optimizer Plus® to create a level of 50 ppm to 80 ppm.  Using Optimizer Plus® will significantly reduce your Soft Swim B and C consumption.

For best results, Soft Swim® is the ideal Pool Care program for Residential pools with the following characteristics:
  • Not more than 25,000 gallons
  • Excellent circulation, sand filter preferable
  • Pump operates at least 12 hours per day
  • Any surface type, but especially vinyl lined pools
