Did you know that animals that do get into your pool purposely try to get out through the skimmer? To their line of site, the skimmer opening is a break in waterline & a potential way of escape.  Unfortunately, it usually ends up with the animals death.  Thousands of family pets each year meet an untimely end by drowning.  This doesn't include uninvited local "guests."  Skamper-Ramp® provides a safe way out.

Since all animals see white, the distressed animal can see it—day or night—and, even if they can't use a step (ducklings, snakes, baby possums), they can "skamper" out of the water on the ramp by themselves.  The animal is able to get out of the pool on their own.  Without human help.  Without becoming more upset & afraid.

·      Based on feedback, Skamper Ramp has found that they engineered the Super Skamper-Ramp so well that in some pool installation situations it is actually too buoyant!

Solution:

If you are having a problem getting the nose to submerge in a pool, Skamper Ramp suggests punching out the silicon plugs from the small holes at each end (use a pencil or nail). When installed, this will allow some water to enter the end holes and provide enough weight to sink the nose.
