Pizza
(printable version) A
simple & fun pizza recipe the whole family can enjoy making & eating! Bake it on
a pizza stone in the oven or on the grill (even better - use the
PizzaQue shown left).
For each pizza, you'll need:
1 tsp Olive Oil
1 Burrito sized flour
tortilla
2 - 3 tbsp. of your favorite brand of salsa or
make your own
1 - 2 handfuls of shredded Jack or mozzarella cheese (pepper Jack makes
great substitution with a little extra zing!)
1/2 onion sliced thin
1/2 cup leftover chicken (you can also use, leftover pork chops, ham, roast
beef)
Cilantro & pepper to taste
Lay out the tortilla & brush the Olive oil over the
top of the tortilla. Place the salsa in the middle,
spreading it out towards the edges - stay about 3/4 inch away from the edge.
Spread the shredded cheese over the salsa. Arrange the onions & chicken or
meat evenly on top of the cheese. Sprinkle with freshly ground pepper &
cilantro.
Place the prepared pizza on a preheated pizza stone in an
oven of about 400° F. Bake for about 10 minutes or until lightly browned
around the edges. Carefully remove from the pizza stone & slice into
quarters. Serve immediately.
