Please note that the 300 gph pump you are purchasing has a FLAT bottom that will sit on the bottom of your spa or hot tub. 

The 350 gph and 500 gph pumps have cylindrical filters as shown above. 

There is a screen on the pump's bottom to filter out any large debris preventing against clogging.

Before draining your spa, be sure to PURGE it off all the biofilm & gunk that accumulates the air and plumbing lines.
