Defoamer SpaBoss Defoamer is a concentrated, effective liquid that helps eliminate foaming in spas & hot tubs. Just use a few drops to break up excessive foam. Foam Hint: If you are "combating" foam in spa water that is older than 3 months, the best thing to do is change the water (drain & refill). Over time, large amounts of organic impurities that are not filterable or oxidizable, must be physically removed by changing the water. Excessive foaming is a sure sign of this necessary hot tub maintenance item. For more information about spa water balance, click here. Hint: NEVER test your spa or hot tub water after the high speed jets or air bubbles have run. Bubbles from high speed jets release carbon dioxide into the water causing a false HIGH pH. ALWAYS wait 2 to 3 hours after use or the jets have been turned off for accurate water balancing levels.
